5/15/04 Meeting Minutes

Old Business
· Introductions of members and guests.
· Secretary's report - summary of prior meeting minutes,
· Treasurer's report - checking account balance $1,360.
· President's report - Jeremy Mitchell is about to start his engine in June. Members helping Ed Corey with parts should contact him. No response has been received from other clubs (Pontiac & Camaro clubs) about joint outings; Rich Lambert will talk with other clubs. Newsletter has been completed, members wishing to receive the newsletter electronically need to send an email to Rich, and he will send an email out requesting this information.
· Vice President's report - Apparel Committee is still looking at jackets. T-shirts will be available in long and short sleeves (long sleeve to have a new club graphic on the sleeve). Sport shirts with button down collars in long and short sleeves with the club logo embroidered above the pocket. Ladies T-shirts and tank tops will also be available. An order form was created and distributed to those attending the meeting. The order form will be added to the club's website.

 

 

New Business
· Fred Franklin reported on what would be needed to get the club nonprofit or tax exempt status from the IRS. Presently the club has a reserved trade name with the state for Heartland Chevelle Club. After some discussion, a vote was taken to table the idea to a later time.
· It was suggested that a polo shirt be added to the club apparel being offered. This was passed by vote of the members and the Apparel Committee will look into what is available and report back at the next meeting.
· The Apparel Committee proposed using ArtFax as the supplier for club apparel. This was passed by a vote of the members.
· Bob V. and Cathy were engaged since the last meeting.
· Some of the upcoming car shows and the Car Club council was discussed. The members attending Chevellabration in June will provide a report at the next meeting. The ACES regional in Kansas City was also discussed. LaVista Days is 6/6.
· Local cruses:
· Culvers South, Lincoln Fridays
· Culvers North, Lincoln Saturdays
· Flashbacks, Omaha Wednesdays
· T's Pub/Skirts, Omaha Thursdays
· Stu's Place, Omaha Saturdays
· The next meeting will be at Bob V. & Cathy's in Lincoln on 6/19/04, the address and directions will be sent later by email.
