The Heartland Chevelle Club attended the ACES Mid America Chevelle Regional hosted by the Mid America Chevelle Club held August 6-7 in Olathe, Kansas in force! The club attended with nine cars in the show field initially and gained two members at the show to boost our club car attendance to eleven! Many other members were in attendance without their Chevelles.

Here is most of the group who attended the show.

Newer member Chuck L. was there with his recently acquired 66 SS396.

Dave D. was there with his beautiful 70 SS454.

One of our new members who joined at the show, Dave W., showed up with this great looking 71 Malibu.

Doug K. drove his 71 SS to the show.

Member James Hinshaw was in from North Carolina to vend Chevelle parts and show off his 72 big block SS Wagon.

Another recent member Joe P. arrived with the 70 SS396-L78 car which he bought new. Joe took home an "Ultimate" award in the judged class receiving 951 out of 1000 points.

Another brand new member who joined the club at the show, Larry S. brought his freshly restored 68 SS396 from Wisconsin. Larry took home an "Ultimate" award from the judged class with 959 points.

Mike Dietze showed off his recently acquired 69 SS396. It took home a Top Three in the Participant Judged classes.

Steve H. showed off his incredible 66 SS396. It took home not only an "Ultimate" award in the Judged classes with a whopping 988 points but also garnered the James Hinshaw pick of the show trophy.

Steve Petersen brought his recently finished 72 SS convertible. He took home a Top Three award.

Tom P. showed off one of his many custom Chevelles, this is his 64 Malibu wagon. He grabbed a Top Three award.

Rich C. displayed his 65 SS and took home an "Ultimate" award with 971 points.

The club took home a $100 prize for the largest single club participation. Be sure to join us at next year's show, it's always a good one!
